Sources from Shanghai revealed that, BMW China(宝马中国) will arrange a media review during second half of 2014, following a comprehensive creative review which MadisonBoom reported in this April in advance.
As said, BMW China spends on media around USD$ 130 million to 160 million per year, and is one of biggest clients of Carat China.
Carat (a unit of Dentsu Aegis Network) has worked on the account from 2006. Carat China implements traditional media planning and buying for both BMW and MINI brands.
One insider told MadisonBoom that, the contract between Carat and BMW will expired in end-of-2014.
In last July, the Germany premium automaker moved its digital media planning & buying duties to Carat. It's believed that, the digital media assignment will not include in this review.
